This was the time that Figaro and I found a broken, abandoned Unforgettable Bus in a hidden corner of Hoomie Hills! When we first came across it, we thought that it was just an enormous bush since it was covered by tons of moss. But when I pulled some moss off, we found that it was indeed a decently sized Unforgettable Bus that had broken down and had been forgotten for at least several years. So naturally, I wanted to re-pear the bus and get it back on its wheels! Of course, Figaro was a bit skeptical at my completely brilliant idea until he came to the conclusion that it was a lot easier to repair the bus than it was to change my mind.
We decided to camp out next to the bus for a week to begin the work. Figaro did most of the mechanical repairs while I did most of the heavy lifting. He knows quite a lot about machinery and is actually also involve in the process of building an aircraft today. After running back and forth to the local village to get spare parts a few times (it was quite the workout running up and down the hills), and after painting the bus with a shiny yellow color, we were finally finished!
As we stepped back to admire our work, Pinra (Pineapple Punny) and Cornelius (Corn Punny) happened to stop by and look at what we were doing. They were in the middle of a long hike across the hills and Pinra was looking totally pooped (although to be fair I’ve never seen her as anything else but sleepy). She drowsily asked us what we were doing. Looking at her sleepy expression, I suddenly got the bright idea to drive the bus across the Fancy Rubbery Road.
“Wait, are you sure you can drive this?” Fig nervously asked as I settled myself into the driver’s seat.
“Yep,” I said confidently, starting up the engine. “I’m very qualified.”
