Oh girl! Looking at this old doodle made me get the excited feels all over again. On that special summer beach day, I met a super rare native Moonsalt whale, and it was HUUUUUUUUUUUGEEE!! Even without the whale, though, any day at the magnificent beach is seldom boring. Peregrin and I decided to go to the beach that day to catch some warm delicious sun-rays bouncing off the coastal waters. Punny Garden sun-rays are not your typical sunlight. (I wonder if this is why everything, here in Punny Garden, is so abundant in plants and flowers.)
Upon hitting the water, the light refracted and merged to form the most beautiful rays of light that it almost seems as if the water was producing it. They are pretty strange and spectacular for the first time looker! Then, I remembered a GIANT shadow was cast over us and when I looked up, there it was! The most ENORMOUS creature I have ever laid eyes on: The Moonsalt whale!
It flew … YES, FLEW, right above us as Peregrin drove!! I guess it was curious about what we were doing riding in a minivan in the early morning. It lowered its head to peek at us and I waved hello to it (Peregrin was a little startled at first, but she said hi too). And to my surprise, it smiled and winked its majestic eye (which was at least 25 times the size of my head!) as if to wave back to me before it took off again with a huge WHOOSH into the morning sky. I shall never forget our spectacular summer beach trip for as long as I live!
