This was the time I spent in the shady Shades Jungle, helping out some friends with a peculiar ritual. You see, there are no four leaf clovers in Punny Garden, which means that every March, everyone’s luck tends to go downwards. It’s a real annoyance when Figaro keeps misplacing his trusty hard hat gear right before we go rock climbing in the Snail Mountains, or when I lose my left sneaker out of nowhere! Going to Snail Mountains without a hard hat or a left shoe is simple asking for the worst trouble you can have. Trust me, we’ve experienced it. I was super determined to fix this unnecessary inconvenience of bad luck for the sake of all Punny Garden residents.
Luckily (pun intended), the awesome Clover Re-pear Crew was created to bring back luck during this very month – by attaching fresh Heart Pear leaves to giant clovers that are only found inside the Shades Jungle. Heart Pear leaves grows in a heart shape and are quite similar to the clovers which makes them excellent replacement leaves for our clovers. How do we attach the leaves together, you may ask? It’s a simple solution…by using an amazing and all natural glue called Apple-Tight! The glue recipe has been a secret that’s been passed down in the Apple Punny family for generations. I tried getting the Apple-Tight glue recipe from Appollo but didn’t quite understand it… something about placing a huge jar of fresh Nasturtium sap, plus a big slice of delicious Onion Heart pizza made by Figment, next to a hibernating Eggplant Panda for a whole week. How does that make glue? Oh well, that’s a little Punny mystery I’ll have to figure out later on another day.
Apple-Tight miraculously bonds together just about any plant material such as leaves, stems, or flower petals and allows them to grow in complete perfect harmony. When two compatible plants have been bonded together correctly, it’ll make a cute little twinkling noise, like a music box sound and that’s how you know when you’ve done it perfect. It took some careful practice to properly attach the leaves in the right way, but since I’m a quick learner, I was able to get it down pretty fast! I can proudly say I spent a good half-day running around the jungle carrying lots of glue and Heart Pear leaves, making lucky shamrocks, and sneezing my LUNGS out (there was lots of dusty pink pollen in the air from the clovers).
Soon enough, all the biggest clovers were turned into four-leaf shamrocks by the time the great Apple Moon rose into the night sky. You wouldn’t believe the amount of luck this successful project had brought to everyone. The entire Punny community’s luck reached the highest levels ever in the flowering week! Pinra unexpectedly was experiencing even better dreams which cause her to write twice as much as she regularly does. Gradient became Punny Garden’s MVP (Most Valuable Photographer) for capturing pictures of the elusive eggplant panda with its most adorable cubs! For Figaro, he was able to find his good o’trusty hard hat again which he left on the dining table after using it as a fruit bowl! As for me, I found my missing sneaker dangling at the edge of my house roof filled with Turquoise Shores seashells in them. Don’t even ask me how or why that got there because for goodness’ sake, I’m still desperately trying to figure out why Fig has one pair of socks filled with Pink Pom Beach seashells in them and also hanging off the edge of his house roof!
