Certainly this has got to be one of my grander adventures! Throughout this journey, I found new exotic seeds to add to my personal seed collection. It all started when I traveled to a place called Magenta Shades Point, located at the heart of the Shades Jungle. Peregrin (a Pear Punny) and Tomarin (the Tomato Punny) were the only ones daring enough to come on this adventure with me… or at least the only ones I could convince, lol.
We rode a gondola through the river systems of jungle and came to a point where the waters stood still. There were so many exotic plants and insects that I wondered where all the seeds were. I looked around, but did not spot a single one. Tomarin walked over to me and moved my chin so that my head looked upward. “WOOOOW!” I remembered exclaiming. All the seeds were located at the canopy of the jungle, but were out of our reach, unfortunately.
Peregrin, noticing my perplexed face, started to whistle a tune reminiscent of an oldie jazz song. Suddenly, the water started to toss and turn again. From the jungle flew all these awesome glowing beetles out of everywhere, including the trees and vines. There were literally THOUSANDS of them and their wings were so powerful that our boat started to float out of the water! We were raised high enough that I could pick some seeds by hand. However, some shinier ones were juuuust out of my reach.
Not one to give up, I learned Peregrin’s whistling tune and whistled it myself in the most accurate pitch I could. A swarm of glowing beetles flew near me, and then I jumped on top of them. Both Mari and Franklin’s eyes nearly popped out of their sockets! No worries, the beetles were strong enough to provide the lift needed to carry me to the seeds I had my eyes on. What can I say? I’m a fast learner. Believe it or not, some of those same seeds are still in my collection today!
Love the story! Can’t wait to read the rest of the adventures!
